    Hi everyone,

I’ve noticed many users share “naked links” in forums—just pasting a URL without context or description. While it seems convenient, naked links can be risky. They don’t inform readers where the link leads, which can reduce engagement or even scare people off due to potential security concerns.

Additionally, search engines and accessibility tools struggle with them, hurting SEO and usability. A better approach is to use descriptive anchor text, e.g., “Check out this guide on HTML basics” instead of just pasting the URL. It’s a small change that improves clarity, trust, and user experience.

Absolutely, you’re spot on about the downsides of naked link. They can make a post look sloppy, confuse readers, and even appear suspicious. Using descriptive anchor text not only improves clarity but also builds trust with your audience—people know exactly what they’re clicking.
