    Hello everyone.

I’m looking for an online version of WordPad for simple document editing when I don’t have a Windows PC. I need basic features like opening and saving .DOCX or .RTF files, simple text formatting, inserting images, and light spell check.

It should run in a browser without downloads or accounts. Performance and privacy matter because I’ll handle personal notes.

Does anyone have recommendations or experiences with tools that feel like WordPad online?

For a WordPad-like experience, Google Docs is a solid choice if you don’t mind signing in. It handles .DOCX and .RTF files, simple formatting, images, and spell check. If you want something lighter with no downloads, OnlyOffice Personal or Zoho Writer work well in the browser and support those file types. For maximum privacy without accounts, rollApp’s LibreOffice Online lets you edit documents directly in the browser. If you’re specifically searching for a WordPad online feel, these options provide basic editing features similar to WordPad, run smoothly online, and let you save your work in standard formats.
